WELL GOD DAMN!
It’s been an excruciating past few weeks! In fact, I’m looking forward to this weekend, because it will be the FIRST two day weekend I’ve had in SIX WEEKS. Giddyap!
I’ve spent all of those past weekends traveling. Everyone of them for WORK. My job is demanding, but I don’t mind. How could I? I’m going to places like AUSTIN and SAN FRANCISCO and NAVAJO RESERVATIONS and THE AIR HANGER WHERE THEY FILMED THE SPACESHIP LANDING SCENE FROM INDEPENDENCE DAY AND HAVE THE PLANE FROM CON AIR.
Most recently was Austin. Austin is an exciting place. They have good BBQ and a fuck ton of live music. I did happen to stop by a movie theater called the Alamo Drafthouse, which is notable for their movie-going etiquette they enforce. No children allowed, and if you get caught texting and shining your bright little cellphone light in people’s eyes during the movie, you will be removed from the premises. I was hoping this would happen while I was there, but sadly it did not. I even considered reporting some random person falsely (done via the drink order form) just to witness the hilarity, but decided against it, as I was only in town for one night and I didn’t want to be a bad guest.
Next time will be a different story.
BTW the reason I went out there in the first place was to interview a famous and influential anarchist organizer guy, and the dude was the shit. First TV interview I did where the guy swore during the interview. And it wasn’t just a single offense either. Every 23, 24 words he’d say “fuck”. Which is totally okay. I work for the Japanese news. They don’t need to beep that shit out in Japan.
…That’s what I thought, at least. It turns out they do have to censor f-bombers on the Japanese news. Well, that guy in Tokyo is going to have a field day with this one.
By the way, one of the stories I worked on–I’m sorry, one of the stories I produced–just aired on the English channel for our Japanese TV station. And you know what that means?
I’m one step closer to appearing on TV myself.

- Watched a solar eclipse from the path of totality.
- Been in the middle of a Trump supporter vs. Antifa protest/battle/butcher’s shop (because there were a lot of pigs)
- Wrote this blog and became an instant celebrity

I’d write more but I have to go and record my weekly wrestling podcast. You’ve listened to it… right? Right? Right??
Lots more adventures coming up soon, but as you know, in the world of TV, things change on a whim. So I’d rather reflect on the past than surmise about the future. But fun things ahead! Choo choo!
